Highly recommend! We snowshoed this trail on 12/4/11 after a few snowfalls in Evergreen. It was not quite covered enough for snowshoes; a sturdy pair of hiking boots were just fine for us as we ended up taking the snowshoes off for easier maneuvering around large uncovered rocks. I would consider this a classic Colorado snowshoe trail - it was absolutely gorgeous. Secluded, serene. It was a narrow trail that ran close to a creek, with tall lodgepole pines everywhere. Breathtaking. We didn't make it all the way to the falls this time, so can't say much for the trail past about a mile in. The first mile is a constant steady climb. The road to the trailhead is manageable in a two wheel drive car with good snow tires - it is a curvy road, but not terribly steep. The parking lot was not well maintained when we were there.
