Driving Directions to Rock Creek:
From the Silverthorn/Dillon exit off I-70 (exit 205) take Highway 9 north. After approximately 7 miles (just past mile marker 109) look on the left (west) side of the road for Rock Creek Road (aka "Forest Service Road 1350"). Follow this road up to the Winter Parking Area, or if you have 4wd and the snow is not too bad you may be able to make it to the Summer Parking Area (see the trail GPS points for these two parking areas.)

Visited November 19, 2006.
While the road between the winter and summer parking areas was snowy, I was able to make it in my 4wd truck. There was another 4wd truck in the summer lot when we arrived. Parking here saves the 1.3 mile hike along the road, but should only be attempted if you are confident of your driving abilities (and have 4wd!)
