Driving Directions to Indian Peaks Wilderness:
Take Highway 72 north from Nederland approximately 6.5 miles. Turn west on Forest Road 298 at the sign for the CU Mountain Research Station. Follow the road for about 0.5 miles. There will be a parking lot on the left with a restroom. The Sourdough trailhead will be on the right. If you continue taking the road straight ahead, it will take you to the Rainbow Lakes Campground.

Packed snow on the trail. Fairly easy & rolling terrain. Passed a few other people on snowshoes & skis, but not crowded.
