Driving Directions to Hells Hole - West Chicago Creek:
From Idaho Springs, take CO Highway 103/Mt. Evans Road/Exit 240 from I-70 south approximately 7 miles to the first switchback. Turn Right onto West Chicago Creek Road. Go as far as conditions will allow.

With the new snow, the road is not open all the way to the campground. The parking at the closure is very limited without any defined area. However, the current snowshoe conditions are good. The snow is about 12" - 24" deep, so some postholing might be necessary.
