Driving Directions to Chief Mountain:
Take I-70 West out of Denver to the El Rancho Evergreen exit (where the Wal-Mart is). Follow that road (Highway 74) south to the Bergen Peak turn off (signs also mark it as Mt. Evans.) At the light for Bergen Peak turn right and follow to the parking area on the right side of the road just past the Echo Mountain snowboard park. Trail starts on the south side of the road, opposite of the parking pull-out.
