Did the whole trail yesterday, found out that it gets much steeper just past where we usually stop. Plenty of snow, it was well-packed (saw some people in just hiking boots on part of the trail.) Snowshoes recommended when you get to the steep part. A bit windy, and sprinkles of snow falling, but good weather overall.

Drove by on Saturday November 29 and it was pretty sparse, likely not ready for snowshoes yet.

Headed to Butler Gulch on Sunday, December 30th. The snow was blowing so bad (and the temps were so low) we didn't even make it out of the car, we turned around and hit Elk Meadows in Evergreen instead. Then they closed I-70 for avalanche danger not long after we turned around. I'd say based on what I saw the snow should be fine on this trail, there was plenty in the parking lot!
