Driving Directions to 3 Mile Creek:
Drive south on Highway 285 out of Denver to the tiny town of Grant. On the right side of the road you will see the (now closed) "Platte River Inn". On the left will be the Grant General Store.
This is also the turn for Guanella Pass, it is also called Geneva Basin Road. Follow this road for 2.8 miles from the highway and there is a small parking area for the trailhead on the right side of the road.

Visited on January 6th, there was plenty of snow and a plow had buried the parking area under so you may have to park along the dirt road.
